Things to Do in August in Ocean City, MD
White Marlin Open: The world’s largest billfish tournament is back for its 49th year! The White Marlin Open will be from August 8th to 12th, bringing thousands of anglers, bill fishermen, and spectators to the marina to try and win millions of dollars. Try your luck or sit by and watch the weigh-ins throughout the week. All ages of anglers are welcome to participate and there are several fishing categories to compete in.
Marlin Fest: Ocean City’s Marlin Fest is the best place to watch the weigh-ins! Sit on the beach at the inlet and view a big screen live streaming the boats coming in. While you wait to see what the boats have reeled in, enjoy live music, vendors, food, drinks, and more. What’s even better is the close proximity to the Tidelands Caribbean Hotel. Walk just a few blocks and you’re there!
ArtX Festival: The Art League of Ocean City and the Town of Ocean City bring ArtX to Northside Park every year. The community event is free to attend from August 20th to 21st. Browse and shop with local vendors, check out the awesome artwork, and enjoy workshops for adults and kids. We love seeing local art showcased!
OC Jeep Week: Jeep lovers are back in town from August 25th to 28th for Ocean City’s Jeep Week and everyone is welcome to stay at the Tidelands Caribbean! Come visit for an ultimate Jeep and beach vacation with parades, vendors, beach crawls, and more.
