In fact, locals say that the water is actually at its peak temperature throughout September, and even into the first days of October! A reminder that lifeguards are only in their stands during limited time through the month of September, so we advise not to get in unless there is a lifeguard in their stand.
Fun at the Parks
Ocean City, MD is home to not just one, but two Amusement Parks that remain open as long as possible through the off-season! Check out Jolly Roger at the Pier, Jolly Roger SpeedWorld, and Jolly Roger Mini Golf to get your last taste of speed and fun until next Spring! Similarly, Trimpers Rides also remains open with rides for the entire family, Friday farmer’s markets, live music, and more!
Bike the Boards
During the fall, the crowds have officially left town, leaving a much more quiet beach and boardwalk for you and your family to enjoy! This means it’s the best time to enjoy a bike ride on the Ocean City Boardwalk. Consider bringing your own ride, or renting from the various bike rentals in OCMD, and take a leisurely ride down the boards.
